Well, I flipped a little with the title, I admit it. But do not go, because we are going to tell you a little trick to be able to decipher in a little more than one plis plas words written in Cyrillic, and it is not as difficult as it seems!

Are you ready to learn how to translate Cyrillic? Before let us tell you something ...

It is used in large part of the Ex-Urss and Ex-Yugoslavia. We find it in Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bulgaria and it is also used in Kosovo.

If you travel to countries where the Cyrillic alphabet is used it will come in handy! It is not about being able to write a book or being able to translate the bible ... but knowing how to spell the name of a street, of a meal and especially how to write 'pivo' (beer) is essential!

  • Some of the symbols are the same as the Latin alphabet but are read in different letters (example: Cyrillic C = Latin S). Your brain will initially tend to confusion.
  • There are a few symbols that seem part of an extraterrestrial alphabet!
  • The order of the Cyrillic alphabet is different from the order of the Latin alphabet, at first you are going to make yourself a mental cocoa.
  • There are only 30 symbols and some are very similar to the Latin alphabet ...
  • It is much easier than Hindi, Chinese or Arabic :-p

It is no trick! Buahahaha * evil laugh * is just about taking the paper with the equivalence of Cyrillic and Latin alphabets and practicing! At first you can write words like your name, your city, your country and then go on to write short sentences like 'Hi, how are you?', 'I'm hungry', 'My name is Letizia', etc ...

You will see that what at first seems impossible gradually becomes easier ... for example: what does the orange sign of the first photo indicate? Surely you could translate it 🙂

There are things ... that need not be translated :-p
