Today is our last day of the trip to Cotswolds in 4 days and although it is our last hours and yesterday we were already in Bibury after touring some of the most beautiful villages in the English countryside, we cannot leave without making a last visit to Arlington Row , that scenic street that brought us here and why it is Bibury, the most beautiful town in England.

Bibury, the most beautiful town in England

So when it is not 7:30 in the morning and knowing that at this time no one has arrived in the area, we left The Swan Hotel, before breakfast, to get closer there.

As we said yesterday we are only 100 meters from where we are staying, so we can enjoy stunning views of Bibury, the most beautiful town in England, at the first hour, it is a gift with which we say goodbye to this impressive getaway that has overcome all our expectations and is that in the end, the corners "less known"They end up being real jewels.

Bibury

Bibury, described by William Morris as "the prettiest town in the Cotswolds", it is located next to the Coln River, another attraction of this small town, which makes it an ideal place to spend a relaxing day in the English countryside.

Bibury Cotswolds

Arlington Row, is a group of old country houses, from the 16th century, with very sloping roofs, which have become over the years the most famous enclave not only of the town, but of The Cotswolds, since It is one of the most photographed scenarios in this area of the country and although we have to say that before arriving we think it was probably overrated, after being here and traveling the street several times, we have to confirm the statement: Bibury, the most beautiful town in England.

In addition, we have to keep in mind that Bibury has been the setting for movies like Stardust and Bridget Jones's diary, something that makes this scenario even better known than it was when he was named the most beautiful village in England.

Arlington Row Tour

It is 8:30 in the morning, when we decide that the time has come to say goodbye to Bibury, although before we leave we do not forget the breakfast we have waiting for us at The Swan Hotel, where we enjoy a very complete and delicious breakfast that we serve at Brasserie restaurant.

Breakfast at The Swan Hotel

A few minutes past 9:30 in the morning when we said goodbye to Bibury to make our way to Bristol airport, located an hour and a half from here and from where we will take off towards home at 1 noon.

On the way back to Bristol airport we go back through spectacular landscapes, of an intense green that even seem to be a lie of how impressive they are. Some landscapes that make us think again about that next time, and that is if we have something clear after this trip to the English countryside is that we will return and surely it will not be in a long time. We have had many things to know and also a lot of time to spend in this incredible area of England, which together with the trip to Bath, Salisbury and Stonehengue we did a few years ago, we believe it is one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

Cotswolds Roads

We arrive at Bristol airport, the parking area when it is almost 11:30 in the morning, perfect time to return the rental car in Cotswolds and go directly to the control area, to pass passport control and go directly to the boarding gate, where at 1 noon our flight takes off back home.
Now there are the last hours of the trip, those hours in which we have to start remembering all the moments lived, start reviewing notes to write the travel diary and of course, start preparing the next trip, which will be in a few weeks .
